  • Won the 1st Annual UMD Biology Department Pumpkin Carving contest with my deep sea anglerfish complete with parasitic male on the side

  • Started teaching as a UMD Freshman Seminar Instructor and Animal Physiology Lecturer

  • Trip out on the RV Blue Heron (UMDs research vessel) to talk to animal physiology students about the effect of noise on aquatic life.
